To ensure higher quality of teaching workforce in Indonesia, all new schoolteachers in 2016 must be graduates of teacher professional education held by government-established and accredited Teacher Training Colleges (LPTK). Entrance or selection to LPTKs will be controlled and limited to ensure quality of teacher candidates receiving the training/education. LPTK will also be collaborating with universities and polytechnics in delivering specific training for vocational schoolteacher education.
