University of Hawaii, U.S.A. and Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, co-hosted a Symposium on Asia-Pacific Disaster Risk Resilience and Reduction (APDR3) Symposium in Yogyakarta on June this year. The program is an initiative of their partnership to strengthen Indonesian education in disaster risk resilience. The partners were introduced by Indonesian Education Partnerships in April 2012, and subsequently assisted through the MOU process, and expect to develop joint degrees as a next step.
