Lack of Skilled Workers a Challenge for Indonesia

Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Hatta Rajasa: only 8% of Indonesians are college graduates, and this number is expected to increase to only 20% in 2040. Meanwhile, labor demands for Indonesians, both locally and globally, are increasing and yet many Indonesians are not competent enough to fill these positions. Current skills on high-demand by industries include foreign language (Korean, Japanese, English), computer skills, and business.
